Vanessa Parker

Ambitious, motivated and encouraging are just a few ways that loyal clients describe the dynamic serial entrepreneur. Affectionately known as a start-up guru, the thirty-something businesswoman has carved out a space for female entrepreneurs on today’s bustling do-it-yourself scene by utilizing resources, connecting people and most importantly, networking.

Born to a military (Air Force) family, Vanessa was raised in Warner Robins, Georgia. After living abroad, her family returned to Georgia. After college she moved to Atlanta and started the journey of entrepreneurship with her husband, Cole. Together they have founded and run several globally recognized businesses including The Pink Boss, Inc. and Divas In Defense®. Under The PinkBoss imprint, Vanessa has elevated hundreds of women through digital resources, workshops and providing business launch tools. For her husband’s company, she serves as the Vice President of Operations and Training—on-boarding the company’s new self-defense trainers and licensees.

Currently holding a Project Management position, she is a walking billboard for women across the world that either own businesses, work 9 to 5 jobs, or both! Her hybrid lifestyle even led her to develop a program, After 5 Startup—geared toward modern women who love their 9 to 5 positions and aspire to start their own (non-conflicting) ventures. With a proven 10+-year track record of successfully navigating entrepreneurship, she has been summoned national and internationally to unlock the door to entrepreneurship for thousands of people ranging from teenagers to Fortune 500 company employees.

She has worked with Black Enterprise Magazine’s Teenpreneur Conference (Atlanta, Chicago, Columbus, OH), Clayton State University’s Summer Entrepreneurship Enrichment Class, National Black MBA Leaders of Tomorrow Program, the Tom Joyner Family Reunion and Fantastic Voyage Cruise, Junior Achievement, Kuwait’s Balsam International (through Divas In Defense®) and more.

With a heart for others, Parker commits time to charity and philanthropic efforts. Since 2016 she has served through with Classy Living Society—a Georgia based volunteer organization. As a wife and mother, Vanessa dedicates her time outside of the office to spending time with her blended family. Together they enjoy reading books, sporting events, movies, traveling and in true Parker form, working events together on weekends.
